Interpretation: This card indicates the start of a new intellectual journey. Because the words represent conflict or difficulty this card can suggests that the beginning of this new journey will be one out of adversity. However this card can also tell us that something positive can emerge from a negative situation and not everything bad that happens is always a bad thing. To take up your sword can give you great strength and this card reminds you that you have the discipline and ability to overcome the obstacles on your path. To use your headspace to overcome any misfortune that happens to come your way and to use your capacity for logic, balance and order to your advantage. which will be greatly needed when the time calls for it. If you focus your mind and concentrate on your goals you will find your sense of power to obtain victory. This card indicates that the seeker might be a champion, a hero and or a leader. The Ace of Swords indicates an attainment of power or goals. It can also indicate the birth of a valiant child, or an act of a valiant nature.

Reversed: An excessive use of force in order to gain your goals, to beware of using too much power to gain your desires. This could indicate destructive obstacles of oppression.
