The Emperor came to call

The Emperor came to call

Doors slammed, windows banged shut and curtains were drawn

as the grand cavalcade drove by in earnest procession

Those outside turned their backs to show utter disdain

no welcome for the Emperor was forthcoming

The Queen sat by him with a pinched expression

the Empress followed with the Queen´s Consort

Cavalry at the trot to hasten these events

once inside the palace a sigh of relief was heard

as a devout anti-royalist Keith this was right up my horse guards parade so to speak. I can imagine that sigh must be very much worn thin by now. Cheers mate.
