Mother's Eyes

If only we could see

thru the eyes of others

a truism often said

Speaking of eyes, how is it

all mothers have them

in the back of their head

They see things

like no others

bad behavior mothers dread

Their eyes our guilty consciences

once caught

wish we were dead.

Ahh....mothers. Lovely poem D.K. I can still hear my mothers cry from long ago and far away.."I heard that!!!"?

The maternal relationship has some very special qualities to it, least of all a perceptive nature which far exceeds any other person. There is an innate bond which is often inexplicable. My mother had eyes on the side of her head also. She was also wired for sound.

Good poem
Thanks
