Wipe out .Wet wipes an enormous cause of sewage blockage
When as a nation we are in a rush,
Down our loos many things we flush.
A problem we can all do something about,
Bin your wipes hear me shout !
Most of our wipes do not degrade,
When in our sewers never fade.
The plastic contents of these wipes,
Clog and block our sewer pipes.
Wipes are strong from the very start,
Cling together ,difficult to part.
A 3P practice should become the rule,
Taught and practised in every school.
Ban all the wipes from down our loos,
Transmit only Paper,Pees and Poos,
Bye,bye wipes hope not to see you again,
Avoid the cost of unblocking your drain.
Bin your wipes hear me shout !
A problem we can all do something about.
For not sending the wipes to their septic tanks,
Water companies send their sincere thanks.

Takes me back to Tin Pan Alley lyric writer Irving Caesar
("Swannee" etc.) who once accepted a commission to write
songs to educate kids in personal hygiene - and later
admitted it was one of his most rewarding assignments!
