If Memory Serves
Memory serves me
yet often does not
its portions are meager
a self-serving lot
Memory is deceiving
it wobbles and flops
it can be selective
sometimes it is botched
It fades as it ages
like an ink blot
its accuracy questioned
at times it gets lost
However it serves me
getting better it's not
oh memory serve me
you're what I forgot.
