AISLE BE SEEING YOU! - Saturday Verse

Although I can only claim a passing acquaintance with the wedding ceremony as a best man

and a guest, I am familiar with the longer term effects on those I know.

I post this poem in that vein.

........................................................................................

There's satisfaction finding another

Who wants the same as you

And is prepared to bravely utter

Those two little words "I do".

There is, as well, the happy thought

That what you seek is shared

No matter how you may have fought

As long as you really cared.

Children or no - after tying the knot -

(Depending on what you intend)

And once one kiddie addition you've got

You might think that it needs a friend!

And so it goes on, as two together

See the numbers increase,

Checking the cash and wondering whether

The spending will ever cease?

No chance of that - sorry, pal,

You're in now for the long haul,

No matter whether guy or gal -

Together, you made that first call.

The song tells us that Love and Marriage

Are the indivisible pair,

And go together like a horse and carriage,

So hold on to that prayer

That saw you take that hopeful vow

To change your path forever;

If you ask yourself, would I change now?

I bet you'd say "No, never!"

Graceful and intuitive! You seem to know more about marriage than those who are married! Well done!?
