CLEAN UP!

Self-satisfied scientists will tell you that since the world began

We've always been accompanied by the life that lives on man.

Unseen and uninvited these companions do their work

Helping to keep us healthy so we need never shirk

From doing what we need to and facing each new day

With our silent little helpers keeping unwanted bugs at bay.

And whilst the use of soap and water serves to aid their cause

Too much of what we think we oughta use should make us pause!

Cleaning can become obsessive and upset the status quo

With "hygiene" becoming excessive from top of head to toe.

And with the "Soap" found on TV the simple fact remains

Too much of it can be a way of cleaning out our brains!

So - whatever bugs you suffer from and would wish to see curbed

Always use moderation so that the balance is not disturbed;

Whether it's the temple of your body or the control box of the mind,

Be careful to get the levels right and be assured you'll find

A healthier state of being that you will not regret

And a healthier way of seeing what's on your TV set!

Thanks for the comments.
There is an old adage: "A little of what you fancy does you
good". A useful maxim for life that holds its truth across
the years. ?
