Lack Of Communication

I e-mail her

then wait for a response

it's better than talking

which involves time

and possible conflict

she has her own opinions

I have mine

the e-mails work

most of the time

if there is no response

I go to the living room

and ask her

what happened.

I remember at University as students we were asked not to e mail each other in the library across the clusters of computers, modern technology a blessing and a curse I suspect!

You always post relevant poems. This resonates with me. When I went back to work after raising my children I received an email. When I looked at the sender I was shocked to find it was the girl who was sat right by my side. She was only asking me a simple question...?
