You're a Mixed Bag.. But I Like You

 

Since I've arrived at WOL

I've made some new-found friends

To share my verse and thoughts with

Now won't go round the bend

 

You know that I write serious

And also play with fun

But sometimes there's a mixup -

They all spill out as one

 

So please be patient, listen

While I go and rehearse

Some lines encapsulating

Our minds expressed in verse

 

Hannah? You're emotion-prone

You're very much like me

Which all comes out so movingly

In both our poetry

 

Brian? You're a mixed bag

You like to gulp a lot

And spider round the site

Giving all you've got

 

Hazel? I don't know you yet

You're poem left me muddled

Strip naked and go mud-roll?

You said. I'm so befuddled?

 

Ray? Now you are learned

A nicer name for shit

You added to my vocab

But shit? I still like it

 

Martin, Keith and Brian?

You liked my addled brain

I'll therefore keep it addling

Fear not, it won't refrain

 

MC and Anya? Charming

MC's my rhyming friend

And Anya likes exclaiming

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!again, again

 

Colin looks so learned

His picture does remark

He's got his education

Rhyme on Aussie sharks

 

Hayley, nice to meet you

We share the same background

There's only one way forward

And that is upward bound

 

Please come and get to know me

Despite I can't be seen

My heart is in the right place

My mind is on your screen

 

We're distanced, yes, but so close

Technologically

Please come and interact with me

Intellectually
