When You Look At Me What Do You See

All the hurt is making me stronger, The deceitful ways help me strive for better days,

I know how it feels not to be loved by your loved ones

I know how it feels to be cold,

Living with no heat, three pairs of socks on my feet,

Still I stay strong in the mist of my storm

Knowing my self worth is better than not knowing at all,

So many stumbles and falls I took to see me,

I don't look like what I’ve been through,

I suffer from depression, lack of the ability to love,

My heart has gotton cold I mean frozen,

Not willing to let anyone in again,

I'm just a woman who is trying to overcome obstacles that come my way,

that I face day to day The saying goes God don't put too much on you than you can handle,

Some days I have no handle, no mental,

Dealing with my reality that my dad’s not coming back,

He sat in a jail cell writing a letter saying he’s never coming back,

 How do you explain that,

How do you explain a pain so deep all you want to do is sleep it away, I have children to feed, responsibilities, To y'all it's a poem to me it's reality

"I don't look like what I've been through. . ." Excellent line to an equally excellent piece of art. Thank you as well, your kind words mean the world. Keep up your interesting pieces, I can't wait to see where they go on their poetic journey.?
