We want to join your loop

Us (my mind and me)

We're feeling a bit left out

Way across the sea

 

We want to join your loop

Of UK poetees

We won't say, please accept us

On our bended knees

 

We have no writing training

No, none of any kind

My mind it says don't worry

We'll work with what we find

 

I like to be a rhymer

Of tragic/comedy

Together with my mind we'll

Write some poetry

 

Us (my mind and me)

Ideas, bounce back and forth

Until at last it comes up

A poem with some worth

 

We have to earn our right

To join your poet loop

And show that we are worthy

Of entering your group
