Excitement, joy, feeling elated, the strife

The mornings, evenings, the beauty of twilight 

 

What could be less interesting than politics?

The falling out, the jealousy and lies

Dictators, revolutionists and heretics

Policies sounding like pie in the sky

 

So what could be better than writing things down

To catalogue every thought in a poem

The walks, the talks the trips to town

And read all you’ve written when your alone
