why do we pray

mostly because we stray

stray from god's love

that is sent to us from above.

 

we only pray in time of our need

for god's warning we never heed

then god we blame for all our touble

but it us who create this bubble. 

 

for when we take god's advice

we never fall into a vice

 he is there to hold our hand

carrying us through the troubled sand. 

 

he asks us to help the poor

not to walk over them like the floor

the help the people in need

so that we can so the kindness seed.

 

to kill in the name of god is a crime

in does not matter in any place or time

sometime its difficult to walk in his ways

or to do the things he says.

 

in the end we all realize

nothing happens by telling lies

the deeds you do always come back

sometimes in the form of a party pack.  

 

so never forget to thank god in good and bad times

because a simple thanks may soon act like a chime

it may warn you about an impending danger 

and save your soul for the baby in the manger.
