Christmas Is Back In town

entry picture

I am lost for words and don’t know what to say

The festive season is well and truly on the way

The countdown has begun on a crisp November day

In the distance I can hear the yuletide bells ringing

The run up seems to start earlier year upon year

You will spend lots of time and money never fear

On friends and family and those you hold dear

Live it up for today and forget about tomorrow

Christmas is back in town

The tree is decorated and dressed up to the nines

There is a bright star in the sky surely a sign

Sitting by a roaring fire drinking mulled wine

While out on streets the snow is gently falling

The table is laid as the family prepare for a celebration

Spare a thought for those less fortunate across the nation

Feel and embrace the good seasonal vibrations

Nothing is certain but of one thing you can be sure

Christmas is back in town

Hi M.C. - Yes it is very commercial now. Still it is a good time for relaxing and reflection, no matter what your persuasion. Thanks for your comments. Seasons Greetings to you and your family. Cheers - T ?

The years tell me that it's supremely commercial and for
sure its approach gets longer/earlier every year but the
magic never quite goes away, and that is something well
worth celebrating, no matter what your religious belief or
lack of it.
These lines stay on the positive side of the track and take
us to our respective destinations - past, present and
future. All aboard for the annual "Christmas Special".
Toot-toot!
