Disappointment comes riding into town
on the back of others' success
streaked with self pity.
Get over it say the old timers
who ride up front
jaws set tight against
the bitter winds of defeat
before they take that step up
through swing doors
into a pure chance saloon.

David, I've gone all Eastwood. He could ride out disappointment in fact could use it for a purpose; my writing this was a catharsis and worked a treat. I re read my offerings mentioned and did found them a bit contrived so fair dos I reckon. By the way , I don't do requests.
