The Controller of Life

The controller of life

Everyday we see levels of control
From the day we gain consciousness
To the day we lose vitality.
it causes our blood to boil
But then let's our air flow freely
Yet no matter what
there is only one.
One controller to decide if we live or die
One controller to see how hard we try
One controller to test our faith
One controller to keep us safe
One controller to feed us bread
One controller to lift up the dead
You know who this controller is
But many people have no clue
Where other controllers come into play
Some good some bad during the day
Good controllers to show you the way
Bad controllers to keep you far astray
Good controllers to provide a home
Bad controllers to rob what you own
Good controllers to teach a religion
Bad controllers to dictate your decision.
Whatever the controller wants
Just know you always have a choice
To run from or agree to
Except from the one controller of life

This poem reflects my life growing up obeying my parents, my teachers, my elders, and most importantly my God. It showed me there are many people who can control what happens in our lives but never completely control us unless it is God himself.
