BORN AGAIN

Nothing seemed to comfort him

his troubled soul cried out for relief

then he heard a clarion call

offering a firm belief

born again ! born again !

never the same the same again

he was inducted

like lightning conducted

by Billy Graham's rally cry

ringing out ringing out

from uncertain ground to heavenly sky..

"Billy Billy you are the best!

Barnham and Bailey in religious vest.

He thought his belief would make him free

with a non return to eternity

but others saw him below the ice

frozen out in paradise.

Thanks Keith - a very nice true story which shows the antipathy that can come to the rescue of common sense. I always take any accusation of humour as a compliment!

Col. Cheers my friend - it's nice to see your loyalty for my stuff. It's worth a lot. Sorry you have been compromised.

Ray, I can't seem to keep up with you these days. Whenever I find a minute your posts have disappeared down the line and I've run out of time before finding them. So I'm glad you posted this whilst I was online and got the chance to be first in! Great stuff as always and the same goes for Time Flies, Nothing Changes. I'm reading I promise but with my lappy poorly again I am resorting to phone tapping to keep up. Normal service must be resumed soon I do hope. Cheers matey. Col.

Hello Ray, the humour in this is really good and reminds me of a visit I paid to my sister who lives in California. Whilst having morning coffee there came a knock at the door. On the doorstep stood two men dressed in smart suits. They introduced themselves and asked if my sister was a born again Christian, to which she promptly replied that she had been born alright the first time. The door was then shut abruptly. Poems with humour invariably strike a cord. Thank you for this. Keith
