Is this me

when I look in the mirror

I don't always like what I see

because I see a reflection of me

I ask myself is this really who I am

people tell me to love myself for who I am

but I hope you know I'm not my biggest fan

I probably made 600 wrongs  for every 1 right

and how often do I try to pick a fight

is this really me

it once was not

where will I go

my life is tied in a knot

I'm deseatfull and I lie

and truly that's not all

but then again those who say they love me

don't know me at all

poetry

◄ who do you see

I love it. The poem is very realistic about the human condition.
Raj, I actually belief that self doesn't necessarily know the truth but is always in search of truth. Self is not complete on it's own. It needs truth to free it from inferior complexes. As a Christian, I believe self needs Christ, the way, the truth and life, to really blossom and be as fruitful as can be.

Sorry, one more bit to add, if that's ok.

I believe that the 'self' is not the individual body or mind but that aspect within each of us
that knows the truth.

Am i making sense?

I like it Amberlee. Quite intense.
There's a lot of struggle I see, searching, probing.
Perhaps the defining moment will come when you find your true purpose?

Interesting journey!
Raj
