That's Enough

I don’t need applause

Or any kind of praise

I don’t need affirmations of love

Just a sign, that’s enough.

I don’t need platitudes

Or fake understanding.

I don’t need speeches

Just a word, that’s enough.

I don’t need your tears

I’ve got tears of my own

And I don’t need your anger,

Just advice, that’s enough.

I don’t need your sorrows,

I’ve sorrows of my own

I’ve got sadness and heartache

Up to here, that’s enough

I don’t need your gratitude

Or any sort of thanks.

I just need you and your love,

Just you, that’s enough,

love
