BENIGN

Some sound advice I picked up on the Internet.

Have you ever been standing at a cash machine and been a little unnerved by someone standing behind you? Imagine how much more disconcerting it must be for a lone woman.

Next time you find yourself queueing behind a woman at the hole-in-the-wall show her that you pose no threat by quietly approaching her from behind and gently kissing her on the neck.

Viewing the photo that accompanies your blogs, I'm not
sure if any old dear would be comforted by this image
looming up behind her - wherever she might be - and
would quickly give you the "kiss off"!

You think I may have stumbled across a new way to meet older women, MC?
I hasten to add that the technique is entirely unoriginal. I saw it as a post on Facebook.

The saddest thing about so-called progress is the victimisation of those trying so hard to keep up after
a long, long lifetime of adjusting and adapting to change.
That poor octagenarian who fell an unwitting prey to
the scum at the cash machine and discovered later that
her life savings had been pillaged to the sum of £21,000
was just such a victim of today's careless disregard
for what can happen with advances in technology that
preclude face to face contact on the spurious ground of
staff economy and profit ratios.
I think she would have happily settled for a kiss.
