entry picture

Dutch poet Tsead Bruinja will be joining three British poets at a weekend of poetry workshops at Grange-over-Sands on Morecambe bay in Cumbria in August. The Poetry Carousel, organised by Kim Moore, who was shortlisted for last year’s Forward prize for best published poem, will also include poets Clare Shaw and William Letford. The three-night weekend at the Abbot Hall hotel takes in four two-hour workshops with each tutor, plus readings and invited guest poets.

Bruinja Tsead Bruinja lives in Amsterdam, and compiles anthologies, writes critical reviews, hosts literary events and performs in the Netherlands and abroad, often with musician Jaap van Keulen and occasionally with flamenco dancer Tanja van Susteren. Moore’s first full-length collection The Art of Falling was published by Seren in 2015, and a poem from the collection ‘In That Year’ was shortlisted for the 2015 Forward prize for best published poem. Her pamphlet If We Could Speak Like Wolves was a winner in the 2012 Poetry Business pamphlet competition. Clare Shaw has had two poetry collections published by Bloodaxe, and is a regular tutor with Arvon, Ty Newydd, the Poetry School and the Wordsworth Trust. Letford’s debut collection Bevel was published by Carcanet in 2012, and his second full collection Dirt will be published by Carcanet in August. More course details
