Flowers mark the spot

entry picture

Flowers mark the spot

Once fresh

Sweet scent

Since faded

Brittle petals

Tied to the railings

Marking the spot

The shrine beside the road

For the passing world to see

Never forget

Never allowed to forget

Sun-bleached photo at it’s core

Decaying flowers surrounding

A reminder for the careless drivers

Too busy pedestrians

Texting as they walk

Strolling into danger

One day their photo might be displayed

Centre of a new shrine

Throughout life flowers mark the spot

Best wishes

I’m sorry

Deepest sympathy

Flowers mark the spot

That bench on the front

Plaque announcing a lifetime

A favourite place

“In memory of Jack and Enid”

Flowers and cards appearing yearly

Happy anniversary

Happy birthday

Merry christmas

Flowers marking the favourite spot

In the cemetary

Outside the crematorium

Bouquets and wreaths line the path

As far as the eye can see

Removed from the top of coffins

Before the cremations

Flowers marking the final resting place
