Bonfire Night

He sits
up high
that guy
straw hat
charity clothes.

Fire burns
crackling wood
fireworks blast
screaming heard
maybe not.

Could be
Dancing flames
youngsters messing
old pensioner
just complaining.

Misty morning
smoldering ash
shredded remains
smoking hot
brittle bones.

A tramp
warm bed
fell asleep
for him
too late.

The theme for Monday is smoke.
