For Danielle

entry picture

Met in damp light
Tattooed in broken eyelashes

Glove less hand over face
Turning away from shadows
At the edge of the window

Preserved for all eternity
A poem in a photograph

Standing a beat apart
Changing directions in seconds

Just to add to previous comments Andy - for me, the poem didn't need the photo - I find it too much of an intimate distraction and the words themselves convey enough for me to formulate my own 'poem in a photograph'.
Hope you don't mind me saying this. All the best.

Stunning. Proves that all you need is a heart and genuine feelings, to write...Just superb

Hi Andy
Yep this is definitely a cracker with all that is not said as much as all that is said. Great stuff. See you soon

The depth of your work, Andy, goes from strength to strength. This is really good.

Check 'Gloveless' or Glove-less' to see whether you might have meant 'without a glove'.

I hope you are happy.

Really enjoyed this Andy - those first two lines are killer, mate. Some lovely dense layering here, with a great finish.

Now that's what I call reserved affection. Able to deny its existence and also to pursue it. Well played sir.
