I had that fiver and bought a pair of

Water-proof to 50 feet.

Told the time for the rest of the afternoon,

Still

It made us smile

I know those butties were meant to last all day

But you don’t look the slightest bit surprised at me,

That’s why you hid those “Wagon Wheels” ‘till the train-ride home.

Nibbling away, slightly annoyed

But still

Walkin’ you home with a donner kebab

Still lookin’ at the ticket stubs (remember that conductor?)

In a “Kiss me quick” hat,

Knowin’ I’ll not sleep tonight

I’ll be far too busy
