Christmas and New Year cancellations: organisers, please let everyone know

entry picture
Each year we email all those whose events are listed with us over the Christmas/New Year period, and ask them whether the event will actually be taking place. If it isn't, we ask you to mark the event as cancelled, or to let us know so we can do that. That email went out a while ago. Looking at the Gig Guide there are several events still listed on Christmas, Boxing and New Year's Day. If you are an organiser, there's still time to get in touch to update us. We suggest those thinking of attending any event over the holiday period should check with organisers. At the end of this week, we will mark as cancelled all events held on Christmas Day and Boxing Day unless we've been told they're taking place. David Andrew, Gig Guide editor

I think every organiser works hard to create a good poetry event; this helps to do just that by avoiding the bad experience of travelling to cancelled events. Thoughtful - emailing all organisers.

Good work on this!
