courses through his being
leaping, soaring
diving, plunging
back into depths
of solitude.
 
Plaintive voice, soul searching song
booms through murky darkness
haunts his domain
persistently
unrequited
and misconstrued.

This resounds for me - I can so imagine how that creature must feel.
