Contest to aid children's heart charity offers £1,000 prize

A poetry contest set up by the children’s charity Cry (Cardiac Risk in the Young) is offering a £1,000 first prize, with a separate £250 prize for under-18 entrants. The judges are Moniza Alvi and Catherine Smith. Broad themes for the contest are childhood, culture and education. The closing date is 30 April, with an awards ceremony on 6 June at the Rose theatre in Kingston, south-west London. More details
