Battered Moons contest offers £300 prize

Swindon’s Battered Moons poetry competition has been launched, with a deadline of 31 May, and a first prize of £300. Main judge will be Alice Oswald, pictured, and Christina Newton will read all the poems. The three winners and four commended poets will be invited to read their poems at the Swindon festival of poetry on Saturday 5 October. Winning and commended poems will appear in the Battered Moons pamphlet and on the website. More details
