For digging in

Statuesque and patient

Giving me the rope

But holding the other side,

For caving in

Graciously and reserved

Showing me the door

But leaving the light on,

For diving in

Desperate and afraid

Throwing me the ring

Throwing me the ring

Throwing me the ring

And never expecting a catch,

For having eyes in the back of your head

And great genes,

For saying one day we will have a fishmongers

Called ‘Never Mind The Scallops’

For saving the takeaway tubs

And my life

And most of all

As we are on our arse

For saying

‘Don’t ever stop, you’re doing really well now.’

All too familiar story
put into a cool cool poem

'never mind the scallops'
Sid and Nancy would have smiled at that line
-who knows? they might be doing so right now-
if Mr Cloven hoof allows them to.

Loved it Cathy-cheers dudess.xx
