Falling Glass

entry picture

They say that Time is relative; that we mark it by the speed at which we live.

A hummingbird beats its wings too fast for the human eye to see; but is it aware of its wing at every point of its beat?  A lark’s song slowed down reveals a myriad of trills and inflections; and what must Time look like to a mayfly which enjoys the same number of lifetime heartbeats as all other species but lives and dies in a day?

Perhaps our only insight into this is when we knock over a glass of beer.

Can you show proof that a humingbird knows every point of its beat? I thought only policemen had a beat, discounting drummers, heat-surgeons, and the second horse at Ascot, and so on, ad infinitum. Prosetry is not my bag - yet - but if some of the lectures were thus presented I might have taken more notice, and then... he said knowingly!
Ta much, Nick.
ps Was Nick Coleman's lorry staionary! No we won't go there at this time!

Noo you didn't did you!
beer falls so slow you are sure you could drink it before it hit the ground.
(still remember my 15 year lifetime that passed in my mind as I was thrown off my horse and under a lorry)
