Oceans

Lying on the shoreline

waves lap over me

soon they will capture me

take me out to sea

I float and dip

and float again

bobbing on the surf

until the depths beckon me

prior to rebirth

Now I am a dolphin

I swim and jump

and play

at last I may find

happiness

while you are

far away

Or maybe I will join you

in a life beyond,

on a distant planet

resurrect our bond

somewhere

I could reach you

no matter where,

a parallel universe

lay our souls bare.

Lying on the shoreline

waves lap over me

dare I hope

they bring me

to that place

you may be.

Thank you, Philipos :) I think this was one of those that just wrote itself!

Hi Lynn, I don't dunk myself in the sea much these days but your poems evokes memories of times I did - the blending with elements - sun on the skin - the smell of ozone etc. You help us to enrapture with the essence of it all. Nice one.

Hi Lynn,

I was tempted to say I like the last verse but I like all the of them!

Lovely feel about it all.
