No room for prisoners

No second thoughts surrendered.
Tied down in a vault,

reserved for the unworthy.

But still you find a way in
You immortalise me as,

‘’Her … of all people’’
Incredulous echoes of pride,

Ringing out like a child’s objection.

Gripped by your faceted ego.
musing, I deliberate,

No second thoughts surrendered.

I felt that I didn't know enough of what was going on. I don't know why I like this piece. It feels like a trailer for a longer programme, but enough in it to whet my appetite. I would however lose either the first or last line.

it's one to re-read again, rach for me - 8.19am is probably a bit early for me, but it certainly carries a lot of power in here.

I particularly like

'Gripped by your faceted ego.
musig, I deliberate'

nice one, chick.

see you soon x
