boko-maru haiku

Sole to sole. Blissful

Our feet and eyes touch in love

Soul to soul. Blissful.

For 40 years I've been fascinated by CAT'S CRADLE, a novel by Kurt Vonnegut. Even though I disagree with his main conclusion it is immensely provocative (and amusing). In Cat's Cradle, the supreme act of worship of the Bokononists is for two people to enjoy prolonged contact between the soles of each other's feet. The authorities find this subversive and persecute it. Or do they?

CC is one of my favourite books. See the cat? See the cradle? Brilliant.

Love this Dave - I have actually tried this, just to see what it felt like. It's really bloody awkward to get in position :D

Clever and very sweet. Not sure it would do it for me though!

Hi Dave was at Eastbourne recently where reflexology with fish nibbling at the feet was on offer not that I tried it - and not sure if this put me off fish more or the feet but thought it unusual enough to mention vis a vis your interesting haiku - regarding which the ways of the east do help us to think laterally in so many ways previously thought of as the occult but I see that even some Catholic churches are now taking on board yoga etc.
