Spring is here

entry picture

Spring is here
with blue skies
following us home
from work every night
like a loyal pet dog.

Spring is here
with a rosy twang
in the air
instead of an ice cold shiver
that chills you
to the bone.

Spring is here
with people throwing
their coats over their backs
and opening up
the windows on their cars.

Spring is here
with fields laced in daffodils
which wave slightly
in the wind
and cats rolling on pavements
embracing the sun
like a goddess,

leaving

leaving winter behind
like a bad memory.

spring

Well observed this one. Read a while back but only just realised it is all these things (car windows, cats and coats) that really mean spring is here in out minute to minute lives as we dont all walk through bluebell filled meadows every day (Well actually I do lol). Win x

Such a beautiful poem, Andy. A real experience of Spring not some concoction of trite phrases (not that we'd get that here of course): "with blue skies / following us home / from work every night" & "and opening up / the windows on their cars." Very nicely done. X

We are all agreed that Spring is the best season then. I've said it before but I'll say it again.... all the promise of summer without the rotten let down...
A lovely uplifting poem Andy - now write one about pissing rain in August! xx

Some lovely sentiments in this, Andy.
My fave image:

beautiful imagery within the lines and so identifiable, Spring is my favourite season of all...even inspired me to write my own take on it :)
Thanks Andy
