Freedomless Train

Were on that train again,

stained windows and

yesterdays kiss

been here before

windowless soul and

tomorrows kiss

conversing about lust,

destiny and trust

The time will pass again

when you must decide

between freedom and

suicide

Are you sure, that you

would like to stay?

Paint me a picture

chase this train away

Well darkness comes and

it goes away

time to choose between

death and pride

You come to play and

I run and hide

Pluckin on my heart strings like

a guitar

playin melodies I can't relate

time to choose between power

and fate

Were on that train again

stained kisses and a

windowless train

sat in this carriage, beside fate

waiting for Control and songs I

can relate

Hi Richard, it feels to me as if the poem is about relationships. The kind which, no matter how we try, we know it can't work for any great length of time before we get to the same point again.
A bit like a vicious circle. Very difficult to deal with depending on circumstances, such as children and the responsibilities which come with that. Don't know if i'm right or not but that's what it feels like to me.
Enjoyed the read. Thanks, Janet.x

Sometimes you do feel railroaded on a track that you simply can't jump off. I can appreciate the sentiments of this write.

Hi Richard, good to see you back, this is quite gripping stuff. That feeling of being trapped with a glimmer of hope has been well portrayed, nice one really enjoyed it, cheers Jeff
