Big bad clock

Big bad clock

"Tick tock, tick tock"
Said the big bad clock
I look at in automatic shock
"More time" I beg on pleaded knees
Every granual of time I try and seize
"I beg pretty please,
More time is all I need"
The big clock looked down at me
And on the face was a look of pity
"Time is something you can not turn back
Like awkward words
In what was a friendly chat
But now has unintentionally turned into a spat"
I looked at the clock with tears in my eyes
But I could not bring myself to despise
As the clock had nothing to do with my messed up life
It was my lies

I do like the idea of this and the dialogue style with the clock's personification. The rhyming words slide in almost unnoticed at first because I didn't feel much rhythm in the lines. I think this would be more powerful if shortened. The message is a strong one with its sharp ending line. The title is also very good with its flavour of childish tantrum.
