2010 Onward

Here is a very cliche, very self indulgent but sincere poem I wanted to share with all of you. Thanks for reading and commenting on previous poems :-)

2010 Onward

This year I took the leap of faith

Jumped off a couple of roundabouts

Strolled down a few different avenues

Next year

when the snow has melted on roofs and trees

and birds sit on the wires once more

When we hear the hum of a tin-pan drum

and the droning of bees

then when shadows lengthen after Summer

in the fall, who knows where time will take me?

I can only pray

that fruits of hope I nurtured will ripen

The flowers from seeds I planted will bloom

and the mysterious beauty

in my dreams will come true.

I wish the same for all of you :-)
