Whose Heart Does She Make Beat Faster?

Whose Heart Does She Make Beat Faster?

Whose heart does she make beat faster
As she once did to mine?
She of the smile that won my heart
She was to me divine
And as all angels do
She flew away from me
And I the fool the love I had
I never let her see
But someone somewhere has a beating heart
That she makes beat faster still
As mine did then when her I knew
And always will until
Upon my deathbed when of age
My mind will wander over life gone past
The smile the smile the lovely smile
Shall in my memory last...

"Whose Heart Does She Make Beat Faster?"
"She Was A Dandelion Seed In The Wind"
"She Who I Loved and Never Did"
"Thought I: A Poem For Her I'll Write "
"This Rainy Night, Where Is She? "
"Should I Again Her Smile Not See"
"My Heart Will Not Keep Her Warm "
"In Times Passing, Fellings Have Faded "
"Her I Would Follow Dropping All"
"And the World Always Turns "
"Lady of the Sweetest Smile

She was a girl of whom I was mad about, but was too shy to ask out, and regretted it all too late when she had gone.

As faint heart never wins fair lady, she is now the muse for which I often write.

She probably does not even know how I felt about her!

This is lovely Tomás...
I can only relate to this in that I do not divulge all that I feel...

As I am sure you know now - it is better to let your feelings be known than to live with wonder and regret...

Hi Tomas, I can really identify with this and either you didn't ask, or you did something wrong, the result is the same. It's difficult to move on but hopefully we get there. It's a wonderful poem and very clever use of words, nice one, Jeff

Hello Tomas

"Better love and lost then never have love at all"
Your poem shows a lot of feelings and emotions. The lost love hurts quite long time, perhaps all life? If it was a true love the heart feels the loss.
You have done excellent job writing about unrequited love.

Thank you,
Zuzanna

I think most of us have loved and lost at some stage, but then what would we have to write about? I like this.
ps. thanks for your advice, i might just give it a try. Janet.x

I think we all have someone in our past we sometimes come back to and think ... "if only". Mine was a girl call Fiona.. or Foggie to her friends. Perhaps she stumple on this blog one day and message me by return.
