Dilute to Taste

Undeniable stupidity brands, mutters a hopeful fear
as the scotch of mankind whoops its need.
Yet you still flip if I touch.

I want you to hear those fragile, conditioned moments
fall as easily as you pospone the unobtainable,
where dry, unkept promises ash, furl to old desire.

Thoughts stray, form a mumbled nuisance.
Unbidden truths urge me to pour your gibberish
through the finest of sieves.
.
Yet I battle, scream a flood to those who hear.
And if wise enough you'll tailor the song,
even paint the harmony for your day.

Quite powerful with your diction and phrasing. Will surely return to your works. Thanks for sharing.

Your poetry has a very delicate subtle touch Stella - good to see you back and posting!
For some reason this poem brings to mind the difficulty in believing in love - although we all need it, believing in its very existence can be hard at times - it involves such a huge leap of faith. Instead we stumble round satisfying different demands but not our emotional ones...
That may not be what you intended to express - your poetry isn't obvious - that is just what I felt from it :) x
