Remember?

Once upon a shore

all was safe,  Knowing

his words before form.

She'd touch her lips, kiss

in a celebration of warmth.  Yet

Somewhere they listened to another

voice, more tempting than focus.

Today between crisp bread

he lies so easily, she turns

her marbled mouth, seeking

clinical solace.

As the castanet heat becomes dreary

she smiles, still, love

it's tricky.

Tricky indeed. Lots here to paint half a picture and get the imagination going on the rest
