Thanks Mum

Today, Mum, I thank you
For sticking by me like glue,
Putting up with me when I was glum.
You truly are the best, Mum.

I know I put you through hell,
I was young, but I remember well.
Back then, all I did was fight.
I wish I'd listened cause I know you were right.

Mum, I was emotionally ill
But still, IĀ hold the guilt.
But you never gave up on me,
Though at the time, I couldn't see.

My anger wasn't aimed at you though
If I could turn back time, I'd go
Back and change it all
And demolish that brick wall.

What I'm trying to say, Mum
Is thank you for all you've done.
For showing the way, havingĀ faith in me
When I was too blind, too stupid to see.

this poem tells of what most of us go through when we are young-thankfully you have seen sense and have put the right value on your mum-the past is gone-we can,t change it-don,t go on the guilt trip-it will weigh the rest of your life down-your mum will understand, being the lovely person she is for seeing you through your emotional difficulties-but don,t worry-its a natural phase-well done on recognising where you went wrong for a while-at least you have,nt continued to be like that, and thats all that matters-best regards-Stefan.

It's more than touching. It's so beautiful! (I mean the poem). It's so delightful when children understand their parents. You are a nice girl and a very good daughter. I was also crying reading this poem. You are very talented. Go on writing. And write as often as you can. You'll be a great poet. Best regards to your to your mother. She is so lucky to have such a nice daughter. She'll be proud of you.
With warmest wishes, Larisa
