Bite the Bullet
Bite the Bullet!
Hey, little boy-man,
Run for your life!
There is pleasure and pain
In the arms of a wife.
Possession you hate -
Obsession is fate -
Reality late -
And
nobody
cares.

Another clever one Cynthia. The format is unusual with a clever rhyming pattern, and delivers a good punching ending.

Love it! - actually I think this is, for me, the best of the 'bullet' series, and a great example of how, sometimes, less is more.
Funny and sad simultaneously - great!

Wow ! - at last Cyn - one I can both unnerstand and unashamedly heap praise upon. xx
(because of the former)
Profound messages indeed - that the majority of men can't handle committment or long term relationships! Love the whimsical ending also.
So glad you are on board. x
Hi Cynthia - particularly like the ending here.. Nice one and great stuff on the rest of the piece also! x
The more I read it, the more I like it. There are some profound messages in this.
It is pure coincidence that 'obsession' appears here right after Steven's good poem. Normally, for that reason I would remove mine, but not this time since it is a 'themed' poem.

Good observation.
I like the rhyming rhythm towards the end and the layout.
