Poem 213 of 230:  MORE AMOR PATRIAE

There is tai chi and there is tennis,

Line is fine but so is Morris,

There is curry and there is the roast,

And, when England is playing host,

It is the rest-of-the-world’s good wish

To sense culture that is English.

I certainly love our world/our United Nations being multicultural, Uilleam but, by increasing immigration from the 10s to the 100s of thousands per year (49 in 1997 to 58 million now in England), Tony Blair has done a lot of harm, I'm sure.

A fine poem, David.

But - I'd be more inclined to believe in amor patriae, were it not for our lying, thieving, (yes, you with the yacht!) and in some cases, murder-enabling politicians, who demonstrate no such affection.

A bevvy of up-and-coming little Hitlers, populists, pundits and so-called "Historians" - no names, no pack-drill, are currently in the process of tearing up British citizens' human rights fought for in World War Two. Victory?
