Poem 174 of 230:  TYNE-VALLEY CIRCLES - AUTUMN 2001

The ringed homing of pigeon;

    The telescopic gasworks,

Which alter the horizon;

    There’s what could be, for some, perks -

Chopper-journeys as sight-sources,

    And advanced driving courses;

Plus, on our flats’ thermals,

    The circling flights of seagulls.
