The house we call home

In the house where I live, once a home to us all,

Family and relatives, a tight-knit bunch we recall.

A bouquet of flowers, with colors so bright,

Roses, lilies, sunflowers, and tulips in sight.

Each one of us unique, with qualities unsurpassed,

Manners and behaviors ingrained, a bond that will last.

Doors and windows, holding both in and out,

Neighbours privy to stories, some true, some in doubt.

Rooms and corridors, witnesses through time,

From birth till now, every action, every rhyme.

Drama, tragedy, worries, celebrations all the same,

Life's rollercoaster, in this house we became.

Feasts in the garden, on quiet evenings serene,

Guests bustling, dear and near, a joyful scene.

Trees and plants lit up, a colorful array,

Pond and fountain dancing, a picturesque display.

Corridors echoing, voices of love and duty,

From study to sleep, a harmonious beauty.

Kitchen walls with airy windows, light flooding in,

Aromas enticing, appetites ready to begin.

Delicious meals, from stove to oven-baked delight,

Every dish a treat, bringing smiles so bright.

Guest rooms, memories of those who came to stay,

Close relatives, friends, all in their own way.

Gatherings in the drawing room, evenings full of cheer,

Emotions exchanged, chitter-chatter so dear.

Oh, what fun when guests visited our space,

Precious memories and experiences, in my heart's embrace.

In this house I live, a treasure trove of the past,

Each moment cherished, a memory that will last.

Home is not a place it's a feeling of safety and protection. It's an emotional bonding. Isn't it Nigel.

Thank you. 🌷

A home holds your heart
Keeping safe your memories
That stay with you
No matter what happens
A place to return
At anytime you want.😎
