Looking reality straight in the face. We think things should be a certain way, but often they are not, including with family. Cutting emotional ties with those who hurt requires courage. Stunning poem, Yasoda.

Thank you Hélène for your thoughtful words. It is indeed how you say it is. I think a lot of the times children are pressurised and bullied into staying into unhealthy relationships or relationships that hurt, because 'they are your parents'. Cutting ties with them is stigmatized when it shouldn't (always) be and it really does require a lot of courage to break free from that stigma. Thank you again for your comment, I always love to hear your thoughts 💕
