Per Ardua ad Astra (now with audio)

Pinocchio Johnson and Tim,

What a combo was ‘Spoons and Wrecksit,

Being egged on by Farage’s grin.

But the Moggian uplands aren’t sunlit,

Now we’re weeping into our gin,

As we crunch on our unicorn shit,

It’s a damn sight more ardua than astra,

To be frank, it’s a bloody disaster!

The Daily Heil
in place of truth,
just spews its bile,
of lies uncouth
upon this hellish Isle.

Gullibility? Well now, let's start with the words "to gull". It means to dupe, to fool (deceive) when I last looked at my
dictionary. How interesting that preference is given to £££
concerns over all in the minds of the Remainer faction about
the UK departure from a consortium that had as its BASIS the
aim of deceiving the peoples of the nation states of its real
political intent until it was too late for them to realise what
was afoot. I'd rather be gulled into erring on the side of self-
determination than be the willing tool of such a power-crazed
entity with the morals of an alley cat and the ability to outvote
any UK proposal or plan when and if it suited its hands-out
members, many of which have a dubious recent political
history. Gullibility? Tell me about it!! It seems popular with
socialists and the very rich, both of which are driven by their
own sort of cross=border interests. Pip-pip! 😉

Thank you all for your comments and likes.

John C...as with alcoholics- so with Brexitholics-"there are none so blind as those who will not see!"

I could give you a raft of links about Brexiteers who bitterly regret their decision.
Here's just three.... who's content will obviously not make it onto the BBC news - complicit as they were in unquestioningly propagating the Brexit Bullshit.

I’ve read that so many who voted for Brexit are now regretting doing so. I must say I’ve not come across that. It’s not so easy to admit you were so gullible.

The decision to leave the grip of the EU and all its yellow star ability to outvote any UK decision was no "crock of shit".
That definition can, however, be applied to the result of the
approach by the occupants of Parliament who clearly still held
their pre-referendum zealous belief that we were better off
being run by a supra-national entity led by the centuries-old
trouble-makers in Europe.

I detect a grudging acceptance that Brexit was from the very start a veritable "Crock of Shit", and that "Project Fear" was 100% correct.😒

Today's parliamentarians are a sorry lot
A generation who plainly don't care a jot
What their forebears fought and died for
And older folk have sighed and cried for.
Now it's all about short-term twee-dom
Convenience and comfort - what price freedom?
Why would anyone worthwhile disagree
That anything worthwhile never comes free? 😐

Only in the Guardian, I guess, Uilleam.
Brilliant piece of verse.

By pure coincidence this article has appeared in the Guardian.
It may go some way to explaining the current parlous condition of the UK.

"Origins of masturbation traced back to primates 40m years ago
Behaviour predates humans by tens of millions of years but evolutionary purpose is less clear, scientists say".
