smiling through the smoke

Those last moments descended

On our window pane.

Falling through the night

your teardrops fall through the sky

watching the moonlight.

Voicing truths inside

the world's coffin gets tighter

closer to the end.

(Noel Scott Engel (January 9, 1943 – March 22, 2019) better known by his stage name Scott Walker, was an American-British singer-songwriter and record producer who resided in England. Walker was known for his emotive voice and his unorthodox stylistic path which took him from being a teen pop icon in the 1960s to an avant-garde musician in the 21st century)

Hi John. Glad you like this. I had read somewhere of the interest in Julius Evola by Scott. Somebody I need to re-read a bit off. Cheers m8.

I know he was interested in the counter-Modern Traditionalist perspectives of Julius Evola. Very interesting man and good Haikus too.

Me too Steven.. I can see why he shocked people a bit back with of the lyrics to 'Next' and 'Jackie' for example too.

Thanks guys.. Just a little homage to excluding possibly Mark Hollis (Talk Talk) and Paul Buchanan (The Blue Nile) - my favourite male vocalist.

In your poetry

music spins
