Wenlock poetry festival says farewell with celebratory anthology

entry picture

Organisers of Wenlock poetry festival in Shropshire, which hasn’t been staged for several years, have taken the decision that there won’t be another one. It's sad news for many, including here at Write Out Loud, where we have fond memories of reporting on and photographing Wenlock poetry festival weekends back in the day.

But its passing will be marked with a celebratory anthology, with the theme ‘The After Party’. Anyone who performed or volunteered at the poetry festival in the past is invited to message the Facebook page of Wenlock Poetry by 2 January to find out details of how to submit, and saying what their connection to the festival was. The closing date for submissions is 15 January 2023.
